Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement has accumulated a wealth of experience in the management and operation of specialized pure car carriers and RORO vessels over the last 20 years. We take considerable pride in the fact that some of the world's leading car carrier operators have contracted our services for the safe, efficient and economical operation and preservation of their seagoing assets.
We operate a sizable fleet of car carriers from numerous locations in Europe, India and South East Asia. The car carriers we manage trade to ports all over the world and our global presence gives our principals the reassurance that their assets are being continuously monitored and cared for around the clock.
Car carriers are exposed to special navigational and operational risks and we at Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement are committed to addressing these risks and permitting our Principals the optimal commercial utilization of their tonnage in a safe, economical and responsible manner. In order to facilitate this we continuously monitor and improve our performance in relation to vital Key Performance Indicators for car carrier management, benchmarking ourselves against the industry-best standards in our area of operation.
Over the last 20 years we have carefully built up a pool of experienced car carrier officers and ratings, drawn from diverse nationalities and who live the Bernhard Schulte culture of excellence in ship management. The diversity in our seafarer pool allows us to provide our valued Principals with flexible crewing solutions to suit their evolving needs. Our officers and ratings are rigorously trained in the latest technologies and practices for the safe operation of car carriers at our Group's own training facilities. In addition to receiving basic training in car carrier operations, our seafarers also participate in our ongoing training programmes which impart value-added and enhanced knowledge at our numerous facilities worldwide.
The safety and reliability of our car carriers is continuously monitored by our staff of experienced Technical and Marine Superintendents. Each of our Superintendents has the benefit of numerous years of seafaring and ship-management experience, in addition to the added benefit of having participated in our enhanced staff-training initiatives.
The management services rendered by Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement to our car carrier-owning Principals include crew management, technical management, commercial management, insurance placement and claims handling.
